About this course

The “Best Practices for Nonprofit Finance and Audit Committees” program includes eight (8) video lessons and a total viewing time of approximately 2 hours. 

Please note that this course is the same as the “Understanding Finance Roles of the Board and the Finance and Audit Committee” course.

Include in the course are seven (7) resources tool guides including best practice terms of reference, committee work plan, and resources on how to integrate finance with strategic planning, and a guide on the 20 discussions board members should have regarding finance.

The lessons in this course are taken from the Finance Masterclass for Nonprofit Leaders and offered as a short-course bundle.

  • Learn about whether the Finance and Audit Committee should be joint or separate committees;
  • Learn about the audit, the role of the auditor and the type of communications from the auditor;
  • Learn how to integrate finance with the strategic planning and annual budgeting process.
